The Wild Robot Escapes  by Peter Brown This is book about Rozzum Unit 7134, also known as Roz, the Wild Robot. She was taken from her island, was repaired and then bought by the Shareef family of Hill Top Farm. She worked at the farm. She wanted to escape so she could see her friends on the island and live with Brightbill her goose-son again. The Shareef kids took out Roz's GPS transmitter so she could escape without being noticed. Brightbill comes for Roz and she escapes the farm. But eventually she gets caught. She meets Dr. Molovo, her creator. They visit and then Dr. Molovo returns Roz to her island.  Roz is not a normal robot. She is a wild robot. She can talk to animals. A Pile of Books in the Last Couple of Months

Image
The Wundersmith: The Calling of Morrigan Crow  by Jessica Townsend Overall opinion: It's good. We are enjoying the story of Morrigan. There are lots of adventures. Morrigan is starting to understand how to call wunder. She thought they were blackmailing her group to reveal her secret about her wundersmith power but the secret they were really threatening to reveal is that Lambeth is really a princess from the Republic.  Bedknob and Broomstick  by Mary Norton Overall opinion: Dumb/not Mom's favorite/It was really stinky. The first half of the book was fun as the children go on a few adventures and get into a few mishaps with their magical transporting bed. The second half was weird. They traveled back in time, picked up Emilius and in the end Miss Price and Emilius fall in love. Dragon Masters: Haunting of the Ghost Dragon  by Tracey West Overall Opinion: Good! We love Dragon Master books with their predictable plot line including the defeat of some evil and th...

Clementine

Image
We read Clementine by Sara Pennypacker. The main character is Clementine. She is an annoying troublemaker. She is l-i-v-e-l-y, lively! She does whatever makes sense to here, even if it isn't the "normal" thing to do. Clementine's friend Margaret cuts off some of her own hair. Clementine helps her cut off the rest and then she helps Margaret by coloring red curls on her head with marker. Then Clementine cuts her own hair and Margaret draws on it with green marker. There is also the Great Pigeon War that her and her dad are fighting. There are too many pigeons pooping on the sidewalk in front of their apartment building. She finds out that Mrs. Jacobi has been feeding them at the front window so Clementine tells her to feed them at the side window and then they don't have a problem anymore because the pigeons aren't in front of the building anymore. Clementine is worried that her parents are going to get rid of her because she is the troublemaker and she thinks ...

We read the book Winnie-the-Pooh written by A. A. Milne. It is a book about a bear named Winnie the Pooh and the adventures he has with his friends. Winnie the Pooh and his friends Christopher Robin, Rabbit and his friends-and-relations, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga and Roo, and Owl go on an expotition to find the North Pole! After walking for some time, Pooh finds the North Pole. It is pole or stick stuck in the ground.  Honey is Pooh's favorite food. On more than one occasion he eats all the honey that is meant for someone or something else. He was going to give Eeyore some honey for Eeyore's birthday. Pooh ate all the honey before he gave it to Eeyore, so he gave Eeyore the empty honey jar. Pooh also ate the honey for the heffalump, which he and Piglet were trying to catch. Sometimes people say Pooh has very little brain, but at the end of the story he comes up with a good idea. His friend Piglet was stuck in his house because it flooded. Piglet sent a note in a bottle for help....
